Standing Committees 2018-2019

Awards & Recognition Committee:
Facilitates the grants and awards process by promoting grants, reading applications, judging essay and video contest submissions, reviewing CLEAR and TOY applicants. Develops rubrics and guidelines for each award and grant. Presents awards at the fall and spring conference. Publishes winners in the newsletter.

Communications/Newsletter/Public Relations Committee: 
This committee puts CCFLT in the spotlight through media links with outside organizations at the local, regional and national level. It is also responsible for managing the CCFLT website and the publication of the Fall, Winter and Spring newsletters.

PR/Outreach/Nominations Committee:
This committee puts CCFLT in the spotlight through media links with outside organizations at the local, regional and national level. This committee seeks candidates for Board membership from among members. Organizes and facilitates voting process, counts votes and announces those elected. It is responsible for publishing elected names and biographies in the newsletter. It is responsible for outreach to meet the needs of members and potential members statewide. Works to design and present professional development on a variety of topics through a variety media for members.

Conference Committees
Exhibits & Sponsorship Committee:
Recruit vendors and sponsors for fall and spring conferences; oversee setup of exhibitor hall; take care of vendor needs.Contact: exhibits.ccflt@gmail.com

Session Proposal:
Works with the President to receive session proposals for the spring conference and send out acceptance or rejection letters. Provides grid for the sessions for Friday and Saturday. Contact:  president.ccflt@gmail.com

Hospitality, VIP, Evaluations Committee (Fall & Spring Conferences):
The committee is responsible for the welcoming, transportation from the airport, and ongoing helping of the presenter for the Fall conference and the keynote speaker for the Spring conference. Prepares, administers, and compiles evaluation results at conferences. Tallies results and presents to the Board, and other duties as assigned.

Signage / Audio Visual Committee:
Provides materials and volunteers from the conference host city in order to make CCFLT members feel at home during conferences.Provides signs for sessions. Decorates luncheon tables for both Thursday and Friday luncheons. Provides signs in the registration area as needed. Provides and oversees all technological equipment and assistance.

Volunteers / Entertainment Committee:
Handles all aspects of the entertainment for the Spring Conference. Contacts local schools and organizations to provide entertainment. Recruits and schedules student monitors/helpers to work the Spring Conference. Students are typically undergraduate and graduate students from CO universities.
