Grants

The Grants Committee of the Colorado Congress of Foreign Language Teachers (CCFLT) reviews requests to fund special projects. Requests are accepted from foreign language professionals who have been CCFLT members for one full year prior to submitting the grant application.

If awarded a grant you must present the results of your project at the Spring Conference or submit an article to be published in the Peals journal.

Examples of such projects include support for: innovative, language-oriented student activities, projects, and trips; materials development; and research efforts which may benefit the classroom. Preference is given to projects with originality and creativity.

CCFLT does not fund requests for release time or reimbursement of materials to be marked for profit. Neither does CCFLT fund textbooks or routine curricular development. However, there may be some provision for the purchase of software if otherwise unavailable to the grantee.

Grants awarded for the year may include:

One $1,000 Ronald W. Walker Memorial Grant (Fall only)

Two $500 grants (one Fall, one Spring)

Two $250 grants (one Fall, one Spring).

The CCFLT Grants' Committee is looking for project proposals that are innovative, creative, interesting, student-oriented, practical, feasible, and can be shared with colleagues.

The CCFLT does not fund requests for release time, textbooks, or materials to be marketed for profit.
