World languages: How to Make them Visible at Your School
Presenter: Frédérique Grim
Friday 9:45 - 10:45 a.m.
Conference Room I

Increasing enrollment is a never-ending challenge for World Language teachers. Their objectives are to give languages visibility among the selection of subjects and relevancy to recruit and retain students. At Colorado State University, we offer 10 languages, each represented by a club, with two main objectives: 1) give cultural and professional relevance to languages and 2) recruit new students. These clubs bring opportunities to expose students to a range of international events, to see the world close, to develop an intercultural awareness, to encourage education or working abroad, and to bring in the international community. Come check what we do!
