Learning a foreign language can be a challenging but rewarding experience. One way to make the process more engaging and effective is by creating cultural books. This presentation will introduce the concept of the cultural book project, in which students create a book about a specific culture in the target language. The cultural book project fosters literacy building, writing skills, and lively conversation as students create and present their books. In addition, this project builds communicative skills, vocabulary, and cultural proficiency. Finally, the cultural book project promotes motivation, self-realization, and confidence in acquiring a foreign language. This presentation will demonstrate the benefits of the cultural book project and provide guidelines for implementing it in a foreign language classroom.
